Jeff and I have know Francesca for almost as long as we have been photographing weddings (which is 13 years of being devoted to full-time photography, by the way). We met her while she was working at The Greenbrier and always looked forward to seeing her on our many weddings on the property. When she decided it was time to move on to new things, I can honestly say that we were quite sad. We loved this lady! The Greenbrier just didn’t seem the same without her there, but we really appreciated having the chance to get to know her. Thanks to Facebook and email, we have been able to keep in touch over the years. When she decided to take Joe as her husband, we were more than honored to be asked to photograph her wedding. We joked with Joe at their engagement session that he had to pass our test and get our seal of approval before we would let him marry our friend. That was mostly joking (but a little truth), and I’m happy to report that we love Joe too!! He is such a sweet guy and is totally devoted to his bride. I am constantly amazed at how some people just end up with the perfect mate, and that is true for both of these two. Our lives are most definitely more beautiful for knowing them!
They started the day with a ceremony at St. Mark’s Episcopal in Richmond, followed by a reception at the Commonwealth Club. Fleur by Everything but Your Groom provided gorgeous florals, which Cakes by Graham created the lovely dessert. It was a great day and it was obvious that these two are dearly loved by their family and friends. We are so thankful to have been able to spend the day with you guys and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things that I’m confident are going to be part of your lives together! xo – jane and jeff
